I can relate to having avoided self-reflection in the past. An amazing therapist helped me learn how to reflect in what you describe a forgiving sort of way. Since then, I routinely reflect on things, but I can tell that I tend to avoid it when I'm stressed. I think journaling is my way of working through those thoughts, as nearly no one can read my journal so it's mostly for me. Thanks for sharing your previous fears about giving birth. Now that I'm in a place where I feel strongly that I want to have a kid, I've thought about the whole birthing situation. I have a pretty high pain tolerance, so I'm one of those crazy people who thinks they can tolerate natural birth. We'll see. It's a scary thought though. So happy to see your memories of it being so positive. Hope you and your family are doing splendidly.
