SEASON THREE, EPISODE TWO
"THE BUTTERFLY EFFECT"
so this is the episode where we first start seeing traces of syelle, although a lot of people were already shipping these two, but in the show, this is the first time we see both sylar and elle interact and actually talk to one another. in "powerless" they sahre a scene, but it was not as memorable. let me just say that i love the scene where he is walking around the neighborhood, so casually. the song they used is just hilarious and the sound effects of this tk abilities always get to me.
angela's powers are revealed on this episode as well, and in her dream it shows standing behind her with his hands firmly on her shoulder. i was not sure what to think about that when i first saw it, it seemed it could be both a protective or a menacing gesture. i was happy to see adam though :]
sylar comes to primatech and attacks elle. i just love how cynical he is, waving that gun and using bob bishop's power. not only did he kill her father, but he actually enjoys taunting her with it. now, at this point im wondering if they actually had a history, because we ignored anything about these two, and specially when he says, "i've killed a lot of people elle, and you're as much to blame as anyone, even more so". of course, now we all know the answer to that one. Am i the only one who finds jessie screaming in the background hilarious? i mean, we know that's peter, but they sure don't. so i wonder what they were thinking, specially sylar to hear some random dude scream his name and threatening to kill him. i loved how elle blasted him and how she was the one responsible for all the villains escaping. this is really not her day, first she fails on a mission to bag and tag sylar, then her dad is killed by the same guy she failed to capture, she almost got her head open, she accidentally allowed all the villains to escape and she got fired from the company. jeez, i think someone needs a hug.
but back to sylar. doesn't he look precious just laying there on that gurney, all defenseless? the big shocker, sylar is a petrelli. to be honest i had this idea in the back of my mind and wondered wether or not peter and sylar were brothers. not only because of their powers being similar, but because they were polar opposites, the ying/yang of the series. still, when angela told him that she was his mother, my jaw dropped and i could actually hear sylar's inner clock ticking away
i dont have much to say about this episode, all in all i really enjoyed it, or at least the scenes where sylar was in. zachary always brings so much to them from facial expressions to the tone of his voice. yes, im a total fan girl, so sue me
