Reccer's notes: This story is adorable. The author categorizes it as shmoop, and it is, in part, but it's the best kind of shmoop - heartwarming without being cloying, uplifting without being unrealistic, and perfectly in character despite the lack of oppressive angst. The Impala really feels like a fully formed character, and the exploration of the definition of home is deftly handled. A perfect read when you just need something to make you smile (which will, perhaps, be essential come October 3).
