Reccer's notes: Very dark, moving tale that explores Sam’s infamous hurting words to his brother: No, Dean, I wouldn’t. Same circumstances. I wouldn’t. The story explores the Mark of Cain and all its ramifications at a brisker pace than the Show ultimately took. The pacing here is razor quick and relentless. We feel Sam’s ever increasing desperation as his allies disappear one by one. Finally, Sam is left with almost no choice at all as the battle for Dean’s life reaches its climactic conclusion.
