Summary: Cas had thought that getting his memories back would make things easier, but the silence that plagued him as an amnesiac drives him to insomnia even after he's rejoined with the Winchesters. Sam helps him sleep.
Reccer's notes: I'm very picky about my fluff fics and this hits exactly the right note on all counts. There's a loneliness and alieness to Cas's perspective that is made more apparent by his relationship to humanity and a slow fall - an unsureness of his place in the world. Sam is carefully drawn through Castiel's eyes, with insights that feel true to his character, and written with a generosity that feels entirely in-keeping. The moment of closeness that they share feels appropriate, warm and unforced, and like an interlude of comfort without any sort of fix for everything else around them.
