Reccer's notes: I think this is one of the best Sam headspaces I've read, understated and matter of fact and brilliantly unreliable. It's an AU study in s7 aftermath, with Sam and Dean barely sustaining their own and the other's damage, but finding in each other a very real love and a very tentative capacity for survival. A stark, temporary curtain!fic with surprising moments of adorableness to ease its bleakness, it's one of the most moving and memorable examples of later season wincest.
