The interrelation between the three is fascinating and sweet and touching. Dean is brash, Sam is magical, and Jo is somehow the bridge. Gorgeous setting, too. Perfect summer reading!
[Short excerpt]"Without me?" Dean says, sounding scandalized. "You ate blueberries without me? You ass, see if I ever do anything for you again."
Another smirk from Sam that somehow seems to combine sweet and cheeky, and Dean flings an arm around his brother's neck. They go falling into the dust and grass, rolling about like they aren't two of the best damn hunters she's ever seen, like there isn't something altogether strange and terrifying about them.
"Jo!" Sam shouts, voice muffled by laughter and Dean's armpit.
They could just about be her brothers, Jo figures.
