Summary: Dean would do anything for his brother. When Sam jumps into the cage to save the world Dean keeps his promise and goes to Lisa and Ben. But months later a visit to Sam's grave reveals that his brother has somehow been freed from hell. Dean won't leave his brother alone to deal with the aftermath. But what has been saved from the cage is nothing like his brother, and Dean has to try to teach Sam how to be human again.
Reccer's notes: Continuing on the one brother doesn't remember the other theme. This is a S6 AU. I love it enough to be reading it again atm. It's Sam out of the cage acting like a skittish animal, and Dean doing his best to break through that wall and get his brother back.
