[Short excerpt]Dean's eyes were closed; he pinched the bridge of his nose, letting out a long, tired sigh. His body ached and his head was killing him and he was exhausted.
Suddenly the car was filled with the an alarming series of rrrrpt-rrrrpt-rrrrpts, loud and in quick succession as the Impala sped along.
He jolted back into awareness and wrenched the car back onto the road from where it'd drifted onto the shoulder. Surprise and panic zinged along his nerves and he took in deep breaths, deep breaths, reminding himself he was driving and the car was moving and he was gonna fucking kill them if he started to doze again.
