Summary: Gen's world changes overnight, but Misha's just the same.
Reccer's notes: Full disclosure: I provided the prompt for this fic. But the sheer delight I feel upon every reread has everything to do with the writing and story itself, not its genesis. Gen discovers she's an alpha and starts dealing with everything that means, including an influx of new scents and instinctual reactions - which should include things like being more territorial around other alphas. Misha's an alpha as well, but his feelings for Gen don't change after her nature reveals itself. I love the slight biological tension that runs through their interactions, and also the hopeful but understated end.
