Summary: Ruby isn't like other demons. Anna travels to her past to find out why, only to become an inextricable part of her life.
Reccer's notes: Selected for femslash. This story has a few things I look for in my SPN angel fic. For one, it acknowledges that angels have a particular cultural signifance and their introduction offers many opportunities to explore historical themes. Second, it plays with what is suggested in canon about angels existing differently in time though I don't want to spoil how it's done here. I've always been intruiged about the demons' backstories and this is a wonderful, bittersweet story for Ruby.
