Feminism
Adrianne Brodwell 9/2/2006

my sisters of the revolution
of stagnant ponds
of former progress
of the houses built
on top of graves
of our suffragist mothers
of money printed
with the faces of men
coins of womyn
too inconvenient
with shards imbedded
from breaking through
our mothers wombs
our chains
our glass ceilings
with belts
for collecting tools
insults, encouragement
stand up in unison and
feel the power of us
we will make the earth
tremble
uterine tsunami
and its aftermath
progress
