Wonderful all natural goodies from my friends at Grace Farm
I got my wheel from some wonderful ladies at Grace Farm that let me spend the afternoon meeting "everybody". Recently they sent me a big ol' box of raw fleece from all of my new friends - sheep, goats, alpacas, llamas and bunnies!! Yeah!! I loved it so much I decided to spin up enough for a sweater but I only got 750 yards done this week and it seemed a perfect match for this weeks theme.
I have Alpaca - Pochito (creamy), Fine & Medium Shetland - Iris (dark brown), Mariah (moorit), Golda (golden), Fawn (gold and light gray), Rosemary (light and medium gray), and Angora Bunny - Spruce (light gray), Tansy (white). All are alternated at random and plied with a fine wool blend into a slightly heavy aran weight. I cannot wait to start knitting but I still have to find a pattern for my new favorite sweater. I keep wanting to pick up Spruce and Fawn in the middle of the night to come "visit" :) Very happy sheep will make a very happy sweater I think.
I of course had to sit outside to wrap and measure the skeins on my "new" antique. I should have included bare toes or something for more down home fun :)
