my dad
Well my dad had to have emergency surgery saturday. he had pneumonia last week, got released on wednesday, and taken back to nyu medical on thursday. he was doing good, but woke up saturday with stomach pains. they discovered he had an intestinal blockage. and they had to do surgery. As of tonight(sunday) he was still in recovery, they do not have a permanent bed to move him to yet. he is intubated, to help his breating, and make it easier for the nurses to do suction on his pneumonia. my sister goes and see's him during the day, and does the usual stuff, holding his hand, and talking to him. my dad can't talk because of the tube down his throat. but he is on lots of pain meds to help him and keep him from getting to tired out.
I will probably be going up to NY either the end of this week, or the begining of next. I am going to wait till he is moved to either CCU or a regular room. to go any earlier, and i would not be able to spend any time with him, and that would be a waste of time.
i worked today, and it was ok, not to busy since it was mothers day, but it was not to bad. not much is going on, just thinking about my dad, and relaxing.
