I have no idea if they're ever going to give us that or not... Apparently something is supposed to happen in Booster, so I guess we'll see in the next year or so.

See, here's the thing. I read comics because they're fun, because they're exciting and full of amazing people who do amazing things despite the odds. It's nice that sometimes I even get to have really introspective character driven stories to go with my epic FUCK YEAH FIGHTING EVIL! moments. Some books and crews are going to have more sad moments than others and sometimes characters I really love are going to die, but I'm okay with that too. As a fan, yeah, I'm going to be sad as hell, but as long as they go out like badasses? Bring it on.

This was well done. This was a powerful and touching death scene, I can see that once I get past the initial knee jerk reaction that every fan has when a character they love is killed. But at this point? I'm so burned out with just how cheap death has become. The arcs with the X kids way back after the whole Decemination story where they wiped out all those kids and some of the things from Cry for Justice and Blackest Night are mostly what did it for me.

To me it's kind of like using overcoming rape to prove how strong a female character is. It could be powerful and compelling if it weren't so overdone.

Oh yeah, I'd say that some deaths have gone completely overboard which is the whole fridging idea. It used to be a big deal when someone died in comics (i.e. Gwen Stacy)
