Following the year's most disastrous EOPT, YS and I ventured into the depths of USS for its annual Hallo.wee.n Ho.rrors Event!
Daddy got us VIP passes which were awesome because:
1) We had our own special tour guide who'd bring us around the various scare zones in a group
2) EXPRESS LANE ACCESS FOR EVERYTHING!!! We got into the haunted houses and roller coaster rides within minutes, skipping the crazy queues that snaked around for meters,
En route on the boardwalk!
The first scare zone we encountered was carnival themed. As the event had just started, all the actors were enthusiastically getting into character and everywhere you turned you had creepy clowns and ghoulish ringmasters waiting to pounce.
Wish I had a better photo of her! The Black Swan girl was really cool and had awesome make up!
The point of this photo.... is the fire eater. Hahaha.
Next we headed to the first haunted house of the night:
This was styled after a peranakan mansion. It was so freaky! We were in the middle of the group and thankfully this meant that we were pretty well protected by the people in front from any 'ghouls' lurking in the corners who were waiting to jump out at us. Even then, these ghouls were pretty freaky! We passed by a courtyard where a creepy old man hobbled up to us, an altar with human offerings, a room with a disfigured lady plonking on a wooden piano, a bridal chamber, a Narnia-ish wardrobe where ghouls hid in between the thick clothes whispering in our ears and making grabs at us, and the worst room of all - an abattoir where you had to push past hanging 'bodies' to get to the other side. But WE MADE IT THROUGH. WITHOUT FAINTING.
Next up: The apocalypse. Spammage of zombies with miotic pupils who staggered around and breathed down your necks. Lots of photo ops because there were so many of them but nothing really freaky!
The next scare zone- The void
Mad Scientist performing experiments on a 'human being'. The dummy on the trolley could move!
Our tour guide! Who looked like she had on KTP.H scrubs. Haha.
Conquering the battlestar galatica at night! A totally breathtaking experience. We couldn't see anything in the dark, which made it all the more exhilarating.
The Egyptian themed scare zone was our next destination. We were brought to see this performance which started out all mysterious with 2 hot girls dripping with blood dancing... and ended quite hilariously with a dancing ape monster gyrating to the beat in our face hahaha
Hahahaha this dude is damn funny he looked like he was doing the parapara dance
Slacking mummy! After this photo he suddenly got up and started running towards the crowd that gathered around, and some of the crowd took to their heels and fled hahahah
Ended off our tour with a late dinner at one of the eateries inside the theme park. The food was baaad (thankfully we didn't have to pay) but the retro decor was great for photos!
Couldn't have asked for a better way to celebrate the end of the small postings. Definitely going back next year, +/- a VIP pass which really really gives a better experience after taking off all that time that would have been spent queueing otherwise. Can't wait for the transformers ride to open in December as well, heard that Michael Bay himself is gonna come down and grace the opening WHOOOOOO :D
