All a matter of perspective!
How bad do we have it? Father Martin just came back from another trip to Haiti and his talk on Sunday was about the difficult transition back. It is impossible to imagine living in a world with no electricity, no stores, no internet? Where a bowl of rice a day is the most you can hope for. One pair of shoes, if you are lucky to have any at all.
Thank you Lord, for all you have given us. We are so fortunate to be living in place where we have choices and opportunity.
Do we truly give enough of ourselves? Do we allow a disagreement to grow out of proportion to the transgression? Can we not find a common ground? How much hurt do we hold inside before it consumes us?
We are blessed. Give of yourself and get back two fold. Forgive and compromise. Try to understand the others point of view. Respect each other and realize that we are all imperfect children of God.
Give thanks during this week of Thanksgiving. Count your blessings and give to another.
