Sup people from Maine!

HEY!  Yes, I can use a computer at this training site.  It's not like basic where they take almost everything away from you.  Anyway,  just wanted to let you all know that the first week is over and I have some difficulties to overcome.  I need to stop being late to formation,  I need to go to bed earlier, PT (excercise), memorzing my scales (there's 48, but I'm not going to memorize them all), arpeggios (same deal), and listening.

So basically we do PT in the morning (5:15), then drill band (marching band), then lessons or individual practice, lunch, 2 academic periods (really boring), and then concert band, musical support teams (I'm in the rock band!), or more individual practice.  After the last formation, our curfew is 9:30 during the week and 12:00 on the weekend.

There is a PT test on Monday.  If I don't pass it, then I will not be able to wear my civilian clothes after the duty day is over...which would suck.

But I'm having a good time here.  I have a great roommate and the room is amazingly huge with it's own toilet and shower, a fridge that's really tall, a microwave, 2 closets.  I'm pretty comfortable here.  The cadre (sergeants, officers, etc.)  even let us talk to them informally instead of with our hand behind our back and having to say no sergeant, yes sergeant, or sergeant at the end of every sentence.

Go check out the pics I posted of my room on facebook!

Hope you're having a great summer! PEACE!
