18 days. I have 18 days left until I have to go to the hotel on June 4th and then Military Entrance Processing Station (MEPS) on June 5th to get all my paperwork squared away. Then I will leave for Norfolk, Virginia to go to Armed Forces School of Music. I'm nervous and excited...mostly nervous because I wonder how much in shape I can get within 18 days and also how well the first playing experience at AIT will be.
Sorry MC, I can't come to your play. But maybe, if you have someone video tape it, I'd love to see it!
Once again, when I come back, which will be around the second week of July, I will be wicked skinny again. Except this time, I will actually have more of the summer to enjoy. Let's get together this summer you guys!
I had drill with the Recruiting Sustainment Program (RSP) this weekend and I am so proud of myself for passing my Physical Training (PT) test, even though it was only the 1 minute on push-ups and sit-ups and the 1 mile on the run. I was supposed to do the 2 min, 2 mile. But the Non-Commissioned Officers (NCOs) "fixed" that. You know what kept me going? Positive thinking. There was a little voice in my head that said, "Keep going, you can do it. Don't stop."
I suppose positive thinking would help with school. Don't discourage yourself. Tell yourself that you are intelligent and a pretty awesome person. You can do this. You can get yourself out of this hole. Don't give up on something by thinking you won't do well on it anyway. I believe you can do this, because I've seen you get through this before.
Dream Weaver
I've just closed my eyes again
Climbed aboard the dream weaver train
Driver take away my worries of today
And leave tomorrow behind
Ooh dream weaver
I believe you can get me through the night
Ooh dream weaver
I believe we can reach the morning light
Fly me high through the starry skies
Maybe to an astral plane
Cross the highways of fantasy
Help me to forget today's pain
Ooh dream weaver
I believe you can get me through the night
Ooh dream weaver
I believe we can reach the morning light
Though the dawn may be coming soon
There still may be some time
Fly me away to the bright side of the moon
And meet me on the other side
Ooh dream weaver
I believe you can get me through the night
Ooh dream weaver
I believe we can reach the morning light
Dream weaver
