[ After some more frustrated sounds she gives up, shoving the communicator in her jeans pocket for a while. ]

What can I say, it's a part of being undead.

[ Sighing, she plucks a few strings on her bass guitar battle axe. ]

And things are kinda sucking right now, obviously.

I'm assuming that you're a vampire, in that case. [ Walks up a little closer. ] But if it helps, people will, most likely, start responding on that communicator sooner or later. They started talking to me pretty quickly when I was brought here.

That's right.

Yeah, I already freaked out some weird guy on it. Kinda funny, except he was a little more focused on convincing me not to suck his blood than being helpful. He wasn't even very convincing.

[ Snort. ] It sounds like he was just too terrified to think straight. Not that I blame him. That was a pretty frightening display there earlier.

You said before that a lot of people talked to you when you were first "brought here." Care to elaborate on that?

Heh. I'm not afraid of most things, by now. At any rate, that's right. Just like yourself, young lady, I have also been brought here into this place against my will, with no explanation given other than that device. The same goes for everyone else in this place.

So basically I've been kidnapped and thrown into a population of other kidnapped people after my powers have been stripped away?

[ This sorta puts a damper on any potential adventuring. ]

That's right. Well, they haven't been completely stripped away. They're just suppressed by the chip they've placed inside you. However, it's possible to get them removed, but you need a doctor for that. I still have mine in, but I've only been here for a week anyway.

[ She can't help but look down at herself and wonder where the hell it could be. ]

I'm just relieved it's not permanent. [ and indeed she's looking way more relaxed now that she knows she can do something about it. ] It's gonna be weird, but I think I can do without them a little while! Who knows, it might even be a fun challenge.
