HAPPY BIRTHDAY AND MANY HAPPY RETURNS TO MY SMEG! I LUV U LIKE CREAM CHEESE LOVES BAGELS. <333

AND IN ADDITION, ALTHOUGH I DO NOT HAVE A PICTURE HANDY, IT IS ALSO THE WONDERFUL ruggafluff's 20TH BIRTHDAY!! ISN'T THAT THE FREAKIEST SHIT?!!? HAPPY HAPPY BIRTHDAY, RUGGY. I HOPE YOU GET A TRIP IN THE TARDIS!! AND LOTS OF CAKE.

This morning, our lovely city was blessed with an ice storm of epic proportions. I looked outside around 8 am and it was the most beautiful thing - I threw on my fedora and grabbed the camera and went outside snapping photos of the ice-covered cars and trees and the slushy river that the street was until my fingers went numb. Every single branch and grass blade was cloaked in 1/4" of crystal-clear ice. The cars were under an impenetrable shield of frozen water. Enough purple prose - it was fucking awesome to see. But DAMN COLD. And the sound of raindrops hitting the frozen treebranches was really surreal.

Then I hung out annoying my family and then I napped, and then Mom woke me and we went out shopping for Smeg this evening, as the ice had largely melted. I drove slowly and carefully and we didn't hit any slick spots. Tomorrow, the weather promises snow. Exciting times! Welcome to December, y'all!

Smeg wants to put our Christmas lights up tomorrow, too. I already started in here - I put up Magical Disco Tree yesterday. Check it:

It's much more colorful in person. Fiberoptic lights, dude!!

My mood is cryinglemon because of Doctor Who. They just aired "Doomsday" on BBCAmerica. IT GETS ME EVERY TIME. OH GOD. I will say no more in case you ain't seen it. But I'm excited, because they're airing the second season of Torchwood along with the third series of Doctor Who starting Saturday, January 26th, 2008. MARK UR CALENDARS. WELL, ONCE YOU GET A NEW ONE. Zomgggggg.

This is mainly for the Scones, and anyone who is independently wealthy/a sugar mama/daddy. I shall put my Christmas/Birthday (I get both in the space of a week!) List 2007 beneath the following cut. ONLY CLICK IF YOU GIVE A CRAP. And yes, it's long! I'm a douche! Believe what you want, but you can't say I don't make it easy. I also like handmade gifts, but I figure that's a given. Only assholes don't like handmade gifts.

Books
- Butcher Boy by Patrick McCabe
- Breakfast On Pluto by Patrick McCabe
- The Naked Civil Servant by Quentin Crisp
- Girl, Interrupted by Susanna Kaysen
- Growing Pains by Billie Piper
- Fragile Things by Neil Gaiman (WTF WHY DO I NOT OWN THIS)
- Doctor Who novelizations
- Trivia books! I saw a ton at Barnes & Noble. I like non-fiction books with little bits of everything in them.
- I also like foreign music magazines.

Other Shit
- Orange hat.
- Yellow makeups.
- Things with union flags on them.
- Things that have to do with Doctor Who (LIKE A CALENDAR LOL).
- Yellow sweater. (Other sweaters are always welcome!)
- Earrings. I like fishhooks and studs. I like big tacky things. I like simple one-color things, and I like authentically rainbowy things. I don't like gold. I'm not really an ornate kind of girl but I guess I should be classy sometimes. If you find...
- Necklaces to match, then that'd be kewl.
- Tea. And tea accoutrements.
- Yarn. There's always room in my heart for colorful yarn. Or bamboo/acrylic needles.
- ... crayons... unless you've seen my room, in which case you know you shouldn't feed my obsessive-compulsive addiction.
- Armwarmers/gloves. Target has this kewl array of knitted armwarmers and shit. I really like it. It comes in crazy colors. They had black and pink glove things.
- Colorful bags? I don't know. I like bags. They hold things.
