well I thought you understood that friends like these won't ever do me no good.

That's Bernard Butler's wordz in the subject line - I have friends that do me a lot of good. And they are HERE. :D

Tuesday, I went to my nurse appointment at Immanuel in preparation for that diet I am going on starting in August. I had to get poked in both arms to have blood drawn - it's becoming a really unpleasant experience. X( Chatted with the nurse, ordered some food in advance, and found out my true weight on their magical scale is 201 lbs. My goal is 125 lbs. I know I can't do the 115 of my teenage years, but perhaps 120? I don't know. Anything under 140 will work.

Then I grabbed lunch at my beloved Subway, scoped out the Benson business district (to which I have never been) so I'd know where tonight's ¡¡¡gRaVy TrAiN!!!11$?~/ show was. And I dropped off the cat food at the vet for a refund, as it was making Kitten sick and Toby is still poo-ing. I can't stand to see my baby puke! It was so tragic. She got dramatic with her third puke and did it from atop a bench. Poor Kittenat0r. :(

I'm sure you read this thing so you can hear about my cats' digestive issues. And my own! It's a great time, isn't it?

Theeeen I think I went home and dyed my hair with more temp dye - Color Pulse's Red Pulse (haha, that kind of sounds like Repulse) - and then it was time to get Veer so Smeg and I went to the airport. Of course, we ran a little late, but we got there a few minutes before she actually came up from the gate, and there was much rejoicing! We picked up Dessy and went to HyVee. I got some Diet Dr. Pepper, because I am vulnerable to advertising and they're all, "NOTHIN' DIET ABOUT IT!" and also because I can only have diet soda on the magical diet (I shouldn't drink it at all, but whatever. Soda is a sometimes food!), and it's actually pretty convincing! It's the best-tasting diet drink I've ever had. They ain't lying.

We goofed around in the basement while Smeg helped Dessy with her mathz homework. Then Veer and I went to buy MAX PAYNEEEE at Gamers for $4.25 as she forgot to bring the copy we got in March. And we went to k0hlb0rg, since we could, and I found an Ugly Polo Shirt that's lime green with Hawaiian flowers, but I like it and it was $3.20 so how could I not get it?! I've picked up several new pieces of clotheses this week, after avoiding buying them for a few months out of frustration. I snagged a cute denim skirt the other day for $6 and that was awesome. ANYWAY. Veer found $4 sunglasses! She has needed them for at least a year! They look marvelous. She also got a new tiger-striped belt, but got it too large so we're taking it back tomorrow, probably. While Chesh & I are those material girls that buy a bunch of inexpensive, shitty quality goods to adorn ourselves with, Veer prefers to spend more money on something that will last and then not buy anything for a long time. This is why she has money in her account and I never do.

We ended up staying up until fuckall in the morning because we're stupid. Well, Veer & I had to go out to HyVee again and get Smeg and Dessy some onions and parsley for their falafel burger madness. I went to bed at 2:30, was awoken by Chesh's call at 6:30, and dragged myself out of bed 45 minutes later after Mom brought Toby in. Then I had to run around rousing Dessy (who stayed overnight) and Veer (who went to bed a few hours after me) and we went tearing off to the airport. We were late anyway. Chesh called just as we were walking in. There was rejoicing! Then we dropped Dessy off and went to Village Inn for breakfast. I had too much glazey fruit in the form of a blueberry Belgian waffle and a half-slice of cherry pie, but they make the BEST cherry pie in the universe, dammit. Also, the best chocolate milk. And I shouldn't drink milk. Or have pizza for lunch, but I did, and now my stomach is all, "Woog. ;|" Anyway, we stopped at Rue 21 because Veer's had this crayon shirt that she wanted me to get, but we couldn't find it so I got a $5 yellow-striped shirt and made Chesh get these ultra-80s fuchsia studs that are giant semi-circles of plastic. She's going to wear them to Christy's bachelorette party and then I'm going to keep them because Chesh doesn't want to wear them more than once. luser. -I- like tackiness. So then we went home. And eventually Chesh and I went to nap, but now we are up!

... Dad just came to my door, and I said, "What?" and he made a weird 'turning-a-knob' pantomime. Can he not say to turn it down? WTF. He's still being a dick but mostly about things that are out of his control. I don't know if he is gonna change the things that ARE in his control. Smeg wants to move out and I can't blame her, but I already considered it years ago and decided it is not worth leaving until I'm out of college because I know I do not have the financial skills and the independence to leave right now. I don't know if that makes me stupid/spoiled/whatever, but it's just what I'm going to do. I try to live my life around Dad's jerkiness and let him do whatever. I should stop engaging him in debates about the news and dieting and shit, though, because it never goes anywhere.

OH. CHESH MADE ME THE MOST AWESOME ANNIVERSARY GIFT EVARS. Hold on, I'll get a picture of it!!!

IT'S A BAG.

THAT'S A CHERRY RED GIBSON 335 355 (I STAND CORRECTED - I DO NOT KNOW THESE THINGS OFFHAND). WITH A RAINBOW STRAP.

GUESS WHO WEARS THAT??

BERNARD BUTLER. <3 Remember how I ... okay, actually, I don't know if I mentioned my GREAT PLAN of getting a tattoo of a red Gibson with a rainbow strap, but that's my plan, once I have money and figure out where to put it. And he generally wears that strap (which is in the icon on this entry lol i am so lame) on the black Gibson or this yellow Fender, but I'm being creative. I like rainbows & guitars and it's a much subtler Suede reference than anything else I've come up with. Chesh, Smeg & Dessy are always like, "So if they kill children someday, you can just say you got the tattoo because you like guitars and it doesn't have to be specific!" ANYWAY, so Chesh made a bag out of it for me to tide me over until such time as the tattoo can be applied to my person. Tee hee hee.

I am the biggest loser to ever lose. I don't care. I love it. <333 Chesh MADE IT HERSELF and stared at pictures of the strap for hours. It is a very well-crafted bag. WUV 2 CHESH.

So I started this entry hours ago and since then, I've been to the concert with Dessy, Tiffy, Silver and Chesh, and back again. It was really awesome. I was pleasantly surprised. Also, QUEER AS FUCK. SO MUCH GAY. I'll talk about it later. Or link to Veer or Chesh's entries. However, the bar it was in was one of the few structures here that still permits smoking and my throat and lungs now want death. So I'm going to drink some water and go to bed. Ciao! More Scone updates as they happen!
