Happy September! w00t. I never liked August.
God, my head has hurt off and on all day, and I had a sort of busy day. Only I didn't really DO anything. Took notes for 2 hours, walked around waiting to be picked up, stopped at Borders, went home and did some dusting and rearranging of my CDs (my room is still a mess, as defined in the world of Jess, which means it's slightly dusty, some things are on the floor, the floor has cat hair and jess hair on it, and I haven't changed my bedding in a few weeks), then went to the Family Fun Center with Smeg.
We've never been to this place before, but it's where the girl I just met on Myspaz/Muse forums hangs out most of the time. It was a loud, dark arcade place and I found her doing an amazingly fast game of Into The Groove 2, which is like Dance Dance Revolution with a different name. I can't tell the difference. Smeg and I embarrassed ourselves with a few rounds of that while she - her name's Hilary; why don't I use it? - while Hilary rested.
She is not a murderer or a rapist, as is to be expected when one has a little common sense about meeting people they've only met online. She's cute and nice, and I'm sure we could have struck up a conversation were it not so loud in there. Smeg and I went to play games while she talked with her friends (skee ball!! i fucking love skee ball!!) and then came back and said we were going to go. I felt sort of bad, but I didn't want to intrude on her other friends when we just met.
However, one thing we got straight on Myspaz was that I AM going to the Muse concert. As soon as I read her message - she invited me to ride with her, her mom and 2 friends - I bought my ticket online. September 15th at 8 PM in Kansas City - I am excited!! I'm seeing a fucking concert!! w00t. :D I bought Muse's Origin Of Symmetry at Borders for $9 after we left FFC, because I had one of those rewards coupons, which was awesome. More music! Just what I needed!
Then Dad called re: dinner and we went home and I quickly remade myself up (arcade games take a lot out of you) and we went out to dinner, and now I'm full. And tired. And my head hurts. I may take a bath.
Homework - start practicing my pieces for oral lit, start practicing my monologue for theatre, skim textbook and maybe do more homework ahead of time for astronomy, and finish the book I'm reading for Native American lit.
Otherwork - clean my room, rake the carpet and vacuum, actually clean the fucking bathroom?? I don't know. I just know we haven't properly taken everything out and cleaned it in a long time - probably not since Sconecon 2006 happened. Oops.
I also need to write to Emily and finish her book if I can. Thank god for the 3-day weekend. Although that reminds me that it looks like I have a lot of crap to do this weekend and I need some rest, so Andrea/Dessy/Nikki, I may bow out of the pseudo-sleepover-thing. :X Another time, perhaps!
