I moderately dislike my job.

Today, as though the b0rg was making up for yesterday's shit, was relatively peaceful and serene. I had another cashier helping me the whole time and she was nice and not condescending. It was even Old People Day and they weren't that bad! It was also slow. The most exciting moment (if retail can be called exciting - actually, k0hlb0rg's newest slogans run along those lines - WEAR OUR CLOTHES & YR LIFE WILL BE 104x AS FUN AS WHEN YOU WORE SOME OTHER CLOTHES!!) was when the lady working mens pointed out this Hispanic guy to me, who she'd seen before. He was kind of slinking around the aisles and touching clothes and carrying socks close to his side. I went over to fold some polos and was all CAN I HELP YOU? =) and he just... didn't say anything. He slunk away and I tried to watch him while I checked people out, but he vanished. Then he came up to the other cashier and bought the socks from her and went with his girlfriend and her 439 purchases. It was odd.

I work 26 hours next week, including Father's Day (4 to 8:30 PM), and I have Monday off and Friday I requested off because it's MOMZ0RZ BIRTHDAY!!!!! I had a dream that Dad was trying to celebrate her birthday at 2 AM when she got home from work and he bought all this blue and purple stuff. Blue and purple cake, blue and purple ice cream, blue and purple hats. It was weird. I tore the ...covering? off the cake and it was white underneath and foamy, but I ate it anyway.

No, my pillow is still on my bed.

Dad picked me up from work and we stopped at Subway to buy Massive Amounts Of Sandwiches. I got a salad and a pizza under the guise of being Healthy. On the drive home, we had A Weird Discussion.

1) I talked about a girl at work who has another job in addition to k0hlb0rg, takes summer classes, and has a full credit load and is expected to make honors every semester. I said, "I'm glad you guys didn't do that to us," and Dad said, "We probably should've been more demanding, in order to prepare you for adult life..." And I was like ?!?! So I said, "I'm sorry," and he shrugged passively and added, "You've had more leisure time than most, but..." I can't remember the rest of the sentence. NE WAYZ I said that I'd spent that time writing and then he was all =D BE A WRITER!!!!

2) So then I asked casually if/when he and Mom were going to have Smeg take the GED exam. And he was all >\ I DON'T KNOW. But we have to do SOMETHING. Or rather, SHE has to do SOMETHING. I'm afraid that her mental faculties are so SHOT that she can't further her education, which MEANS that I must worry about saving both for retirement AND for supporting her the rest of her life."

And I was like...... ?????????????????!!!!!!!???????!!!!!!!!!??????????!!!!!!!!!! "She's not THAT bad..."

"*scoffing laugh* She's not doing anything with Keystone! She hasn't fulfilled their requirements and she's not taking any role in her education! *Blah blah blah angst*"

He said he'd tried to talk about it with Smeg before, but I doubt he mentioned the Crazy Angle. So, uh. Yeah. I didn't think my sister was a dribbling idiot? I trust that Smeg will attend college when she is good and ready, and that she can acquire jobs in the meantime to support herself. Why is Dad so weird?

Also, why does he always say the weird shit to ME?

The only other notable thing is that I called the gynecologist's office earlier and told them I'm sick of bleeding all the time, but they never called me back. Isn't that always the way?
