it's two ends of the spectrum.

My top ten songs of the past week:

1. Darren Hayes, "Hero"/"Unlovable." (tie!)
2. Manic Street Preachers, "Empty Souls."
3. Blur, "Girls + Boys."
4. Mansun, "She Makes My Nose Bleed."
5. Tori Amos, "Space Dog."
6. U2, "Holy Joe"/"Until The End Of The World."
7. Suede, "Asbestos"/"The Drowners."
8. Lou Reed, "Perfect Day."
9. Kylie Minogue, "Gotta Move On"/"Chocolate."
10. Geri Halliwell, "Mi Chico Latino."

Honorable Mention: several Dresden Dolls songs.

But mostly I've been absorbed by Darren's new record, The Tension And The Spark, for the past 24 hours. I received it yesterday in the mail in a lovely wonderful Box of British from Choco. I also got a full-size silky Union Jack flag :D, Union Jack knee socks, a British phrasebook, a letter, many European coins, and at least 10 bars of British chocolate. Was that everything? :X I hope so. It was a great treat! I love getting mail. Choco doesn't owe me a damn thing for Christmas now, I swear.

Speaking of Christmas, I have to go shopping sometime REALLY soon. Not just for Silver, Choco and Chesh's presents (I know where to go for what I'm getting them; I just have to GET there), but for the incredible Smeg's SEVENTEENTH BIRTHDAY. 17! I was just 17. I miss it so. Live it up, sibling! I also need to know what to get Mom and Dad, as well as Megan and Sally. I still owe Megan a birthday gift, too. :O! My own Christmas list can be found here, and here is Smeg's. I know it looks greedy, but I'd be as happy with a letter or card as I would be a present. You can always go the easy route and mail an 8-count box of crayons, too. I don't have one of those yet in my collection of boxes. :)

Next week is Thanksgiving and I can hardly believe it. Tomorrow's our third Saturday of driver's hell, and we get next Saturday off. I think Psychobitch teaches the last class, on December 4th (oh no!). Speaking of her, a guy from the Safety Council has offered to take Smeg and me on a driving test at Burke High for no charge just to see what we've learned and what we need to be taught and stuff like that. I don't think we have to see PB on Monday! Thank GOD. I refuse to go in a car with her again. I'll endure 5 hours of her babble and possibly her glowering at Smeg and me for dropping her like a hot potato, but not her with me behind the fucking wheel!

My early Saturdays will wrap up on December 11th, which is when my rescheduled ACT test date is. Anybody want to help tutor me in math? :X

I'm trying to teach Choco how to crochet through a lot of babbling and several pictures. I don't think it's working. :\ C'est la vie. I need to work on Smeg's scarf now.
