I often avoid music memes because I agonize over it too much. But I decided to push myself to do this one.

1. Your favorite song with the name of a city in the title or text.
Wow, nothing like starting off with something embarrassing. "Walking in Memphis" - Marc Cohn

2. A song you've listened to repeatedly when you were depressed at some point in your life.
I tend to counter depression by cultivating anger "This Love" - Pantera

3. Ever bought an entire album just for one song and winded up disliking everything but that song? Gimme that song.
Oh, this just happened recently. I bought a cd by the band Cornerstone, who are just way too bluegrassy for me, just for the song "20 Naked Pentecostals in a Pontiac" which sounds almost nothing like the rest of the cd and is truly one of the best songs ever. So it was worth every penny.

4. A song whose lyrics you thought you knew in the past, but about which you later learned you were incorrect.
This happens all the time too and once the wrong info is in my head, it's hard to replace it with the right lyrics. My most famous example of this was a very lively song that used to get played as church let out when I was little. Basically, it was just the word 'amen' sung over and over but I somehow thought it was 'hey men.'

5. Your least favorite song on one of your favorite albums of all time.
On the All cd Pummel, there's this song "Hetero." Though the lyrics are not to be taken at face value, they're still offensive and musically the song sounds unfinished.

6. A song you like by someone you find physically unattractive or otherwise repellent.
Blackie Lawless from W.A.S.P is just *shudder* but I do like the song "I Wanna Be Somebody."

7. Your favorite song that has expletives in it that's not by Liz Phair.
So many songs have swearing that I don't even notice so I'll go with expletive in title. It's a tie between "Angel Fuck" - Misfits and "Slack Motherfucker" - Superchunk.

8. A song that sounds as if it's by someone British but isn't.
Well, they're actually trying to sound British - The Upper Crust "Opera Glass"

9. A song you like (possibly from your past) that took you forever to finally locate a copy of.
To use 'locate a copy' loosely, if I could find this to buy I most certainly would but it was on my list for years before I found it to download - Blue Clocks Green "Hemingway"

10. A song that reminds you of spring but doesn't mention spring at all.
Since spring marks the beginning of yard sale season - Cheryl Wheeler "Estate Sale"

11. A song that sounds to you like being happy feels.
That opening song from the movie Valley Girl - Bonnie Hayes & the Wild Combo "Girls Like Me."

12. Your favorite song from a non-soundtrack compilation album.
Gah! Can't decide. Margie Joseph "Sweet Surrender" from the Atlantic Sisters of Soul compilation or See See Rider "She Sings Alone" from one of those Indie Top 20 comps.

13. A song from your past that would be considered politically incorrect now (and possibly was then).
Motley Crue - "Girls, Girls, Girls"

14. A song sung by an overweight person.
I don't understand why this question exists but... the cover of "My Girl Lollipop" by Bad Manners as sung by Buster Bloodvessel.

15. A song you actually like by an artist you otherwise hate.
Another sacrilege here, I really don't like Sarah McLachlan but I do like the song "Possession."

16. A song by a band (whose members actually play instruments) that features three or more female members.
Why the Donnas of course, my fave song being "Get Rid of That Girl."

17. One of the earliest songs that you can remember listening to.
I remember playing my mom's 45 of the Paul McCartney & Wings song "Uncle Albert / Admiral Halsey" repeatedly.

18. A song you've been mocked by friends for liking.
Well, there's actual photographic proof from my 30th birthday party of my friend Ron yelling 'what is this?' as he waves the Hanson "Mmmbop" cd single in my face.

19. A really good cover version you think no one else has heard.
I know this is sacrilege but I never want to hear the Pogues version of "Fairytale of New York" again because the No Use For a Name cover is so good.

20. A song that has helped cheer you up (or empowered you somehow) after a breakup or otherwise difficult situation.
For whatever reason Sweet "Wig Wam Bam" never fails to cheer me up.
