I was having trouble sleeping Sunday night when a crazy plan came into my head. Along with all the movies I haven't watched, clothes I haven't worn, and books I haven't read, there are plenty of cds I haven't listened to. Well, I'm going to. Alphabetically (because that's how they're filed). I figure, listening on my commute to and from work, it'll take me all year at least to get through them. I started today with the AG's and Agnostic Front.
So I went out to Happy Hour Friday for the first time in like a month. I wanted to say hi and I had a present for David. Eugenie was asking for help naming her next book as the publisher nixed "All Tomorrow's Panties." I think I came up with a few good ideas.
Anyway, left early because Ron was coming over. He was kind of late which was fine as I had become obsessed with making an icon set for a song. I didn't get any further than finding screencaps for each line because something evil happened to Photoshop causing it to freeze every time I click on 'Open File' - I'm really hoping I can get this fixed soon. So he finally shows up around 11ish and I set up the vcr so we can watch the last Carnivale while I dub it onto his tape. After that it was just yap-yap-yap till 5am. He's a very bad influence. As in, we were talking about the library book I was reading and I said I'd removed it from my Amazon wish list because I couldn't see myself reading it again. And he was all like - who cares if you read it again, it's an important part of your "collection." I'm not giving in though. I did get him hooked on the recliners. He said he could just imagine coming over and the two of us sitting in the recliners reading like old people. I told him okay as long as we could take Scrabble breaks.
Needless to say, I slept till noon on Saturday. After running errands in the afternoon, I went to
evilbluemnm's birthday fest where we got to eat in what appeared to be a closet and "enjoy" some karaoke. I literally used to live right down the street from the pub but it may not have existed then. Anyway, it was a blast seeing her,
wrayburn, and
postcardjunkie again.
Sunday was clear-out-the-tivo day. I'm really pleased that my resolution to watch more movies this year appears to be holding. No movie tonight though - I can hardly wait to go home and watch the VH1 Bands Reunited with Berlin. Mmmm, John.
Also, how wierd am I that I was very excited to discover that Kleenex has finally come up with a new box illustration for the ultra-soft tissues?
