Life is boring when you're sick

And that sums up my weekend. After being shut out of the MixFest concert and my chance to see Duran Duran again after 19 years because my purse was too big and they wouldn't let me in, I came home on Friday and... not much. There was laying around and sleeping and talking on the phone. I went grocery shopping on Sunday and made a fritatta which I shared with dreago who politely neglected to point out she doesn't like pork/sausage. Then we watched Carnivale.

Tonight was Erin's big birthday treat - I took her to see Thoroughly Modern Millie. It was so awesome. Dancing and singing and sparkly costumes. I need a whole lot more of that in my life. I need to check and see if I have the movie on tape - I should dammit! Maybe I'll just haul out the soundtrack album tomorrow. I wish going to the theater weren't so expensive because I'd go see every musical that came around.

I came home to some confusing answering machine messages from my friend Sandra. If I understand correctly, she purchased a chair from the Angel set. There was also some commentary from her cat - who has a really heavy Boston accent.

I'm going to talk to Charlotte tomorrow because it's been a while. Since our Vegas trip is not happening again this year, I think she's got an evil plan to convince me to come out to SF for a visit at the end of the month. I'm eyeing the "last minute deals."

And now, I succumb to the madness
