Yesterday I weighed myself on David's mom's super fancy scale and I was really surprised to find out that I weigh 147 pounds have 9.8% body fat. I was really surprised by those results and it really is giving me more drive to work out harder and more often.
So due to recent events I decided it is entirely necessary to start a "metal" band. Influences including Buried at Sea, Eye Hate God, Grief, Deadguy, Kiss it Goodbye, Integrity, Born Against... The whole purpose of the band is to educate the listener upon the happenings of large-scale culture suicide in the world of today. While I want to cover a variety of topics, the main goal would be to expose situations that arent common knowledge, to share information that is not easily accessible. This would not be a sermon where everyone convenes at the end or where the singer yells out "Go Vegan!" before a song, but any arena to allow for discourse and discussion during the performance to allow the audience to participate and not just be a passive observer. Also, the point is not to stand on a soapbox and lecture for 15 minutes about Russian criticism of US defense installations, or about the movement to put creationism in the classroom, but the messaged will be briefly summed then accented by soundbytes during the song which correlates with the music/topic. I think it would be a really interesting and stimulating project to be a part of and there is a lot of merit within it. I just need to find people dedicated to the pursuit of knowledge and, of course, sick riffage.
