It's been a long time...
I haven't updated in so long I can't remember where I left off.. Well I've seen a bunch of great rock concerts, and traveled to NYC a bunch of times. The last few weeks in March were truly amazing. Early in the month I saw a great band for the second time- Hot Hot Heat. The first time I saw them back in November of 2003, Axis was about half full. 2 years later they had the place packed and totally sold out! It was a great time. Crazy Daniels senior recital was great. The Mario Bros thing was awesome, the prog and metal rocked, and my favorite was the crazy tune where the delayed effect ping ponged from amp to amp.
Steve Vai concert march 31st at Avalon was MIND BLOWING! That was enough for me, but we waited around after anyway, in case we could meet any of the band, and ended up meeting all of them and taking pictures with them! You would think that would be the end of the night, but no! We go to the bar at the top of landsdowne street and who's in there?? Billy Sheehan and Tony Macalpine!! We took some pictures with them, then started gettin loaded with them! haha.. It's one thing to meet incredible musicians, but to hang out with them in a casual setting just rocks! I found out Tony Macalpine is from my hometown of Springfield Massachusetts which rocks. And he even asked me to e-mail him the pictures I took of all of us at the bar! What an amazing night that was. But the weekend didn't end there-
Apollo Sunshine Friday night was great! Aside from the horrible opening bands. Spiritual Rez opening for the Bomb Squad was great too! It was one of their most legit outtings yet. Pretty soon they'll play all the major clubs in the Boston area and I'll get to say I've been there since the beginning. And now it's Sunday night, and I can't even remember what I have for homework or practicing. So I guess that's what I'm about to figure out. Next weekend Jessica might visit Boston, which rules. and Then the following weekend is the NYC trip for the music business association. stay busy everyone. it feels good
