Finntroll/ Genre/rant
Apparently The Triple Rock social club thinks Finntroll is viking metal. This level of ignorance is unexceptable. This is why we put up with bad openers, with the exception of people booking to fill in the gaps. Some of the openers we saw last time were good, however.
I read an interview where the band said they that they are not viking metal and that it irritates them that they get associated with that when the content of the music has nothing to do with vikings. In an interview I read Skrymer said, "f'n hell, we are not vikings!." He saw plastic horns in the audience. If the people promoting this stuff would just get their head out their butts and or the ignorant fans we'd all not have to put up with cow dung.
Their songs are about Trolls, how does that translate into viking? Wry? ugh. Stop it!
Also, there were no vikings in Finland, and fintroll is from, FINLAND. This is also taken from an interview, Skymers words in specific.
