After watching a anime or two thousand, you come to notice some anime with oblivious endings. Many animes end too early for various reasons including popularity decreasing, loss of production costs, story is no longer complete. Whatever the reason, it kills me when the anime has to skew away from the original story and create something totally different.
Once you watch a anime and finish it with a oblivious ending, you have to resort to the manga. Which in most cases is way better than the anime. I'm about to present a couple examples of show stories that you should just read the manga from beginning to end and only watch the anime if you need some idea what they look like in color.
1.
Gantz
Now after watching this anime I thought, whoa this anime is pretty graphic and badass. I come to find out that the manga is more graphic, more gorry, and more perverted than the anime. In fact the last couple episodes pretty much weren't relevant to the story. This story is pretty badass, so if your down for a lot of action and stories involving fighing for your life in a destroy all aliens kind of way. Then you gotta check out Gantz. Gantz is about 300 chapters deep right now. So take the time for a week and check this story out.
2.
History's Strongest Disciple Kenichi
After watching 50 episodes of this anime, I pretty much thought the manga would end after a couple chapters or two... I was wrong. If your not familiar with this story, it's a story about a weak kid who finds a dojo where they have master's of many martial arts in one dojo. The weak kid named Kenichi joins the dojo and thus becomes history's strongest disciple.
*spoiler warning*
Ok so picking up where the anime left off, I find out that what we saw in the anime was just a sliver of what the anime produced. I mean not only are there a slew of new characters that get introduced, but there are plenty of crazy storylines just makes me want the anime to be a 150 episode anime instead. I mean you have a secret organization of evil masters and their own disciples. A whole slew of touraments. Good guys turn bad and bad guys turn good. If you read the manga, you should really look forward to the tournament of disciples. Definitely a must read.
