MCR - REGGIE - ALK 3 CONCERT RE-CAP 9/18/05 !!!!!
OKay here is my recap of the concert in Chicago last night. I'm getting my film developed so that will be in tomarrow. The pics will be posted by Wednesday at the latest :)

Wow! Okay get ready for all this shit...
Alright so Melissa got to my house at 2:50, we decided to head downtown to pick up some disposable cameras [we didn't want to bring our digitals in case they broke, got lost, etc...]. We got back to the house at about 3:10 and left immediately. We jammed out to Reggie the whole way there because the stereo wasn't letting me switch CDs.
We finally got there at 3:45 [there was like NO traffic, heh] and needed to find a place to park. We accidentally pulled into this parking garage, but we couldn't get in. Luckily this nice group of girls [one was wearing a Billy Corgan shirt so, thumbs up] helped us out and told us where to go. So we got in the right parking lot, got our shit together, and headed up the street toward the line for the show. I was surprised, it wasn't that long. So we got our wrist bands for A tickets and got in the line. After about 30 minutes me and Melissa got hungry so we went back to the car to get chex mix and some diet coke and such. We got back and waited for about another hour then finally we started going inside.
We got frisked and everything and made it through [thank god they allowed cameras!]. As soon as we were in I ran straight down to the floor so we could get good spots. At that point we were about 4 people away from the gate in front. So yeah we were really close, I was soooo happy.
So we waited for about an hour when finally the lights started to dim. I started screaming cause I knew Reggie was going to come on [I adore them]. So we all started moving forward and then I was about...Eh 2 people from the front so I got even MORE happy.
I can't remember everything that they played but I do remember hearing. What the hell is a stipulation, what the hell is contempt, get well soon...then my memory goes blank. OH WAIT, they played Deathnotronic and Raining Blood. I loved it sooo fucking much when James [lead singer for those of you who are Reggie deprived] started asking if we thought Gerard [lead singer of MCR for you sick deprived children] and Matt [vocals in Alkaline Trio for those of you who are again, deprived of Alk 3] are good looking. So naturally we all scream and go crazy! The he's like, "If I got to be in the Matt Gerard sandwich **heavy sigh** Well merry Christmas to me!" I was laughing the whole time.
So their set is over and then it's that little in between bands thing. We didn't go anywhere though cause we wanted to keep our spots. Again the lights begin to dim and the intro music for Alkaline starts up. So the crowd is all AHHHHHHHH and its starts going crazy. Tons of people started heading to the front to see them so we kept getting pushed around. From what I remember they played Time to Waste, Sadie, and then I can't even remember the rest! I was getting pushed around so much and slammed into, their crowd was CRAZY! I wish I could cuz I do like Alkaline ever so much.
So we have another intermission type thing and we wait. By now I'm so psyched and I'm so excited. So now I was one person away from the gate. ONLY ONE PERSON IN FRONT OF ME! I was spazzing. So MCR comes out, lights are dimmed, the crowd is SCREAMING!!!! It was amazing! Unfortunately I can't remember the order but I'll name what I can. First off, the set was AMAZUNG! The catholic windows were awesome! Btw, Gerard makes one SEXY priest. They played all of Three Cheers [Yay Cemetery Drive was AMAAZING!] a few songs off of Bullets, and their new song, Shut Up and Play [Pray?]. I LOVED THEIR NEW SONG! IT WAS REALLY GOOD! I'm def excited for the new album now too. I think they played This is the Best Day Ever, Headfirst for Halos, Honey This Mirror..., Our Lady of Sorrows, and then they played Vampires... for the encore.
I MADE FRIENDS TOO...well sort of haha. This group of girls in front of me was talking to me during the intermission about how people were being assholes and how excited we all were. And this chick next to me in a red shirt was all excited too. We kept screaming and smiling at each other during they're performance! Then there was this skinny blonde bitch behind me and she was jumping on me and like screaming in my ear during the intermission. So i told her to shut up twice and then at one point someone called me so I said, "Yeah everyone is being awesome, except some people are ASSHOLES!" and i looked at her. It was awesome, I got some clapping for it :). Security kept giving us cups and bottles of water too, it was awesome.
Gerard told us the story about Timmy and his Bike...then he runs over his cat. I loved it! When he was telling the story and pretending to be God, in that deep voice he was using heh, he made us say "Hi God!" then he told us to yell "Fuck School!" It was awesome. We also had to look at the sky and say "Hey Grandma." I screamed it so loud I thought I'd burst my lungs! He kept telling us to open up the biggest circle pit too. Then he was all , "Welcome to the new church mother fuckers!" Then we had to scream our darkest, foulest sin out loud. It was so funny, after words he’s all, "That's Dis-gusting!" He also shoved his hand down his pants and he was simulating jacking off at one point too. He even wore a leather jacket during Vampires and I’m Not Okay for the encore :) I was all happy about it. He also said that Chicago was their second home, it made me feel all fuzzy inside, heh.
A bit later Gerard came over to my side of the stage and leaned over and was singing. It was so cool how close he was, I was just...AHGH!!! AT one point he looked over in my direction, I got the shiveries!!!! I was hoping he recognized me from warped...I HIGHLY doubt it though. I JUST WISH! Ah then Frank took a drink of water and spit it out in my direction and A SHIT LOAD OF IT LANDED ON ME! I was like AH! YES! It was awesome!!! Gerard also had to assure us that Mikey was still alive even though he got "shot." heh... OH AND OF COURSE! Frank and Gee led the traditional middle finger salute.
After it was all over we headed out of the place and up to the merch booth. I ended up getting a package of Reggie stickers and pins and an MCR shirt that has a catholic window with this guy and his hands are all bloody. I'll put up a picture soon.
When we walked to the car some guy took a picture of my ass then he was taking pictures of me, I was laughing lol. We went to Wendy's on the way home which was nice, I was so hungry and thirsty. The way home I kept seeing people in there cars who were at the concert too and I'd look over, so would they, then we'd smile at each other. It was kind of like a symbol-ish thing for, "Awesome time!" I don’t know, I thought it was cool.
We didn't get home until 12:30 :).
EVERYONE DID AMAZING! THEY ALL LOOKED SO GOOD TOO! It makes me sad though thinking about how its already over though :(.
BUT DONT FRET MY PICTURE ARE GETTING DEVELOPED TOMARROW! AND IF I GET ANY SNAZZY ONES I WILL POST ALL THE SNAZZY ONES I HAVE! I HOPE THEY ARE AWESOME BECAUSE I WAS IN 2ND ROW THE WHOLE TIME!
Ah sorry, I'm still so excited and psyched up about it. I'm all...giddy...MCR LIVE has that effect on me :).
