Another Thanksgiving gone. Nothing too special about it, but it was still nice. Just my immediate family and my grandma. We went out to eat. No leftovers, no home-cooked special treats, no loud family laughing and catching up and talking. But it was nice nonetheless. Thanksgiving is about family and being thankful. And I am very thankful for everything in my life. And it was wonderful seeing so many old friends over lunch at the Diner and a trip to the movies. There's such a difference between my hometown friends and Penn State friends. Both groups are equally good ... just different.
I cam't believe it's December already. About a month until I head to Ireland. Wow. But I'm ready. I'm going to miss PSU a lot, but I'm excited for something new and different. It's a chance for me to grow and learn.
My dad drove me back to school yesterday and he's really not the biggest talker. It was about 3 hours of silence (abeit music) over a 4 hour drive. And actually it was quiet nice. When my mom drives me to school she talks the entire ride. Seriously, that woman could talk someone to death if she wanted to (not that I don't love her talkativeness at times) But it was a comfortable silence with my dad. But he did start talking about internships/jobs and I realized I have no idea what I want to do when I graduate. Publishing? Library work? Editing?Reporting? Magazine? Newspaper? Entertainment Venue? No clue. But Billy isn't doing what he thought he would be, and he's loving life. So I'm not making any big plans besides wanting to live in NYC. I'll just figure it out when I get to that point.
