Everynight in Uganda, thousands of children leave their homes in fear of abduction and sleep in the city streets. For one night, we're asking the same of you, and children across America are doing the same thing. So take a stand, or a "lie down" if you may say so, join the Global Night Commute. Date: April 29th, 2006.
Be there. Take a stand. It's for them.
We ask people to begin making their way to the proposed site between 7 p.m. and 9 p.m. We ask that people commute to the location by means of walking or by public transportation; if that is unfeasible, we then ask the participants as a last resort to drive to a destination nearby and walk over.
