Hebron man killed after car hits tree

A Hebron man died after his vehicle struck a tree early Friday morning, according to police.

A Porter County Sheriff's Police release said Bradley J. Hultmark, 22, was driving south on Porter County Road 600W north of Division Road when his 2001 Pontiac Trans Am left the road on the east side.

It then rolled over before hitting the tree, according to the release. He was pronounced dead at the scene from massive injuries, Lt. Chris Eckert said.

He said that the cause of the accident will have to wait until toxicology reports come back and the reconstruction investigation is completed, which could take about 30 days.

No other vehicle was involved, and no one else was in the car, Eckert said.

*****************

Brad was one of my favorite people. Never knew him to do ANYONE wrong, and the world needs more people like that, not less. I met him through working at E.B. (he was my employee) and through his close relationship with Steve Nason and Luke I ended up hanging out with him quite a bit.

I've had an awfully depressing day, and I wish I could go back for the funeral but 750 dollar plane tickets just aren't in the cards for me right now.

R.I.P. Brad, you will be missed.
