Lately I've noticed that some people make very broad generalizations about Christians. This is done with humor, sure, but I can't help but notice that it portrays Christians in a very bad light. I have to agree that some people that have strong beliefs don't know why they believe them - they go about blindly thinking they are right and the rest of the world is wrong, but that's not everybody, and this group of people doesn’t only include Christians. These comments and posts are intended to be cynical views on what people think Christians are all about - how Christians react in different types of scenarios. I don't usually feel like a victim in situations like these, but the amount of ridicule and humor that these posts and comments are supposed to impose upsets me and frustrates me because it shows me that people assume they know what they don't, they think they know those they don't. They imply that Christians cannot relate to people who don’t believe in what they do when the people who post and comment these things don’t understand what being a Christian is all about. I know the things said and written are supposed to be funny, and please don’t get me wrong, I DO have a sense of humor. I’m just sick and tired of being included in the generalized comments. I don’t pretend to know people as a group, and I don’t appreciate being included in any broad generalization.
