Who is nursing moderate curousity about the Mandy Moore cover album?

(This is in stark contrast to Britney 'n Christina, who mainly inspire moderate curiousity about album covers.)

I tried to listen to the xtc and joe jackson songs, but mandymoore.com only makes my computer speakers make horrible noise (either that, or they are incredibly experimental covers).

I read this interview where she was like "I didn't tell my record label what I was doing, I just thought that y'know, being a professional singer I should know about all sorts of music. Doing this album made me realize how hard it is to write good songs" And I was like uh-huh.

However, Mandy Moore isn't actually famous for her music; she is famous for having music similar to a bunch of other artists in a phenomena. Think about it. It's just a thing that happens. Like when people talk about bands from New Jersey, they're like "yeah, y'know, that whole scene: Springsteen, Southside Johnny, and Bon Jovi followed in their footsteps." Who the fuck is southside johnny? Can you name a single song by 98 degrees? exactly.

Ok, I just tried again. These samples seem alright. Covering Have a little faith in me should really be outlawed. Her cover of one way or another I think is grounds for a lawsuit (that Piper Pearabo can file with me as her attorney).

And what the fuck is up with singers born past a certain year not being allowedd to have it sound like an actual band is backing them? I mean there might be actual musicians involved, but I would have no clue.
