I had never written a book review before. Now I have. Somehow I got to review a music-related book which is odd because I've never really written a proper music review, either.
In non-jesse-penned review news, rock writers still turn up their noses at humor. I know I'm just a defensive fan, but if anyone could tell me what this writer wants out of a TMBG record, I'd love to hear it (from what I read here, apparently it shouldn't sound too much like children's music, but it shouldn't have guitar solos or horn parts because those are a "child's idea" of a rock band, and it shouldn't be too funny or experimental, but it should be like the most experimental albums they've ever made, but less ambitious).
