Suck it up
As in: the CW really sucked it up when they (per Dawn Ostroff) canceled Veronica Mars (with a tiny, tiny, chance -- looking tinier by the day -- of reincarnation as another show), one of the two or three best shows currently airing in the sorry medium we call television. Especially after letting the creators and fans hold out hope to the point that next week's season finale was not written as a series finale and as such will probably be monumentally unsatisfying.
As in: Rob Thomas, suck it up, dust yourself off, and write a cheap-to-produce V-Mars movie. You mentioned this possibility yourself a few weeks ago, about how pitifully low viewership times seven bucks still equals profitable movie (if said movie is produced for $10-15 million, which would be triple the budget of the equivalent amount of episodes). Seriously, if Aqua Teen Hunger Force can get an 80-minute feature, surely the lowest-rated show on The CW can get some love. I don't want V-Mars the comic or V-Mars the YA novel. I just want you and the actors to have a chance to finish it up.
I'm kinda thinking of a finale party at the apartment on Tuesday. Any hypothetical takers?
