Step aside, MI3 and Art School Confidential...

It had a couple of bumped release dates awhile back, but now all of a sudden this movie appears to be coming out next week (so say IMDB, Rotten Tomatoes, and filmcritic.com... but not Box Office Mojo, or an official site in the US... because the latter doesn't exist). In short:

*Salma Hayek & Penelope Cruze rob banks...
*In an "action/comedy/western"...
*Written by Luc Besson...
*And rated PG-13 for "sexuality, nudity, and violence."

Also, Steve Zahn.

Is this really happening?! Is it going out on 3,500 screens?! How did this escape my attention for so long??!

OK, breathe.

It seems like the studio is trying to dump it (assuming that a wide release on a week's notice is difficult to pull off). I don't get it. I don't care how bad your Salma Hayek/Penelope Cruz action-sex-comedy tests or turns out; if you can't get it to $40 million, you fire your whole marketing department.
