Here am I. I am here. In GLORIOUS Rhode Islannnnd. The Ocean State. And it has been raining since I stepped off the plane. However. HOWEVER. I LOVE college. I went to classes with Anne today where kids actually learn and learned stuff. Granted one class was in French and the others were WAY above my head. Linguistics is really interesting though. If I attend Brown come next fall I think I will shop that class.
I am all showered and nice and warm and the 3 swigs of Jack are heating my organs nicely. Today is a lazy, indoor sort of day. Boggle + pot + whiskey + 7 college kids + Jasmine + one tiny 12x14 foot room = Jasmine's Friday night at Brown. It's a bummer that I leave VERY early tomorrow but it can't be helped. IK sat in on a rehearsal for The Greeks today. Anne's suitmate (of which she has 4) is in it and so I got introduced to Mr. Johns, the director, and a quick and painless tour of backstage. Eeeeexiting. College theatre is going to blow CHS theatre out of the water---if only for the simple fact we wont have to cut out words like ASS and can perform "adult" material without worrying that the Ms. DeWitts/Gunnlesssss of the world will object.
I have oh so much work awaiting me when I get home but I have done all the AaOL stuff necessary. Almost. I am still working on a few costume plots but other than that I'm done until Freeman calls for something else to be done. Courtney called me from Julia's phone tonight for the opening night song (huzzah) so I could sing with her on speakerphone. I don't think it worked too well because I couldn't hear her so we started over twice and once I finished I could hear people giggling and then silence and then "I think she hung up" so I didn't get a chance to say Break A Leg but I know they all know I was thinking it. Oh well. Seniors...this is the beginning of the end. I can't believe I missed my chance to say that. I have been waiting for that glorious circle moment ever since Corinne uttered those words Freshman year for Sweeney Todd (conicidentally, I am wearing the show shirt right now!).
Alright. Boggle calls as well as some more illict activities. By the way, ladies, do not dispare at the sparce choosing from High school as there are A MILLION very attractive, very single college boys out there waiting for you to come and visit.
HO-baby! Little asian kid just walked in. That's my cue.
See you chillin' later.
CREEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEPES
