Beaaaaach
Longest workday in a LONG time. But the set is famazing. I am starting to really, really love workdays again. Coming home tired, sore and paint-splattered is actually enjoyable.
Unfortunately, in between painting and more painting, I learned a few things about some of my friends and my opinions of them have now shifted...Very disappointing.
My lower back is destroyed. De-stroyed. But the set looks awesome so it's worth it. Jenny called during dinner which made me happy. And for the first time in 7 years, the stage got painted not-black. Sandy sand sand. I'm covered in beige paint.
Hilary hasn't taken a single picture yet. (pictures during 7th period non-withstanding) SLLLLLLACKER. When I called her at 4 she told me "I have work at 6, but you can take pictures for me if you want." Guess there isn't gonna be much of a scrapbook this year. What a shame.
It still smells like dead rat...mainly out by the saw area. Are we sure they got it all out of the air vent and no little bit of decomposing rat is still up there?
We managed to use 3 Noodles on various parts of the ship. Who's creative?!
Painting was a bit sad though because we had to cover up Corinne's "not the same ink flow but it works" and the giant orange 'SWEENY TODD' crayoned onto a platform. It was just odd to watch the freshmen, with much gusto, paint over it while Courtney and I died a little inside because it had no meaning to them. I did, however, find the inside of a brace with the words MIKEY AUSTIN '01 LEND ME A TENOR and MIKEY '00 YCTIWY on it as well as a big peice of plywood with "thank you for my box i'll 'repay' you later -bobbo" and "Painted by: Campbell Ringle, Sunny Stapleton and Daren Carter" on one side. What show was that for? Robber Bridegroom? I don't even know. ANNND "KELLY '98" is writen in gum in the storage closet and Mike (sill boy's handwriting gave it away) wrote 'fiori' underneath. Oh, the things I discover. Best one, hands down, was the note Sean Cary wrote to future thespians about flying cars and how primative 2001 must seem. RIDICULOUS!
