Part 2: Fun with Common Assist Characters
Changes for Captain Commando:
+ Fix Captain Sword properties to fully hit in all situations
+ Increase overall damage for Captain Storm super
Ok, so, Captain Commando is a pretty viable character. He's flexable, he was never mainly a combo character more just of a powerful hitter. He's got a few key moves that are able to be canceled (Captain Corridor into Captain Sword) that does damage, has priority in his normals, and a good variety of moves. The only true change that I can see him really needing is having more reliable use of his supers.
Changes for Psylocke
+ Increase Damage for Psy-Malestorm Super
+ Add forward dash after standing roundhouse normal
Again, like Captain Commando, Psylocke is a very flexable character, except more on the speed side naturally. The only thing she always needed was what was taken away from her in Marvel Super Heroes. Which are what are listed above. She could always use a little mix up (the dash after round house) to help her agility.
Changes for Tron Bonne
+ Change "Anti-Air" assist to expansion type
- Remove "Projectile" assist damage scaling glitch
+ Increase start up speed for air dash
+ Drill move doesn't knock down during hit and increase hit stun.
What Tron needs is more variety in her play style as well as increasing offensive abilities. Also, another thing that needs to be taken out is her assist glitch, while it helps maintain her ability to make her a viable character assist for Magneto/Storm, needs to be taken out because it was simply overlooked by Capcom However, since she has an airdash, it can be improved, and with priority of air fierce punch, how deep jumping roundhouse kick hits, it increases her rushdown ability. And since if her drill move doesn't knock down, she would be able to cancel her drill into Lunch Rush super. One last thing that is just needed is another assist. Anti-Air assist is just a small silly flame, but changing her assist to her drill move will allow the point character for spacing on the ground as well as some chip damage or a window for a super combo since the drill move would not knock down on hit.
Not much that I really feel in this update, but oh well. Next chapter, going into Dr. Doom, Blackheart, Cyclops, and Strider Hiryu.
