Vicky got into a car accident and I had to help her out at 3 am on Thursday night/Saturday morning. She fucked up the right front knuckle of her car pretty well. Put a spare tire on and limped it a few blocks to my mom's house so it was out of the street and she could wait until the morning to have it towed. Didn't sleep very well after that.
Picked up Vicky and DJ and drove to RI for Providence Declares War just in time for DROPDEAD. Stayed at Rabbit's house. Hung out with Dave Public and Metal Mike a lot. Ate at the System, and got a bumper sticker! Filmed the fest for a (hopeful) DVD. DROPDEAD blew my mind and The Usa Is A Monster was great. Wish they got to play longer. Highlights from the second day were Battlesnake, The White Mice, and of course Lightning Bolt. Bought a lot of awesome shit.
Today I went to Don's house and helped run a saw mill. Ben came up from Herndon, and I'm really glad I got to see him. He is taking off for Arizona as soon as he can afford gas, and then going back to Alaska from there. It was pretty intense watching these massive trees get turned into lumber. Definitely one of the more manly things I've done in a while. I'm sad it was too hot out ot wear my flannel I took just for the occasion.
I need to do laundry and pack up my computer to go to my apartment now. I should have internet there sometime this week.
