Liberating, isn't it? Ya know, it is a bit.

*Nextel chirp* "Craig, is it going to be alright if I take tomorrow, I need to see someone in the hospital."
"Can't you go tonight?"
"I'm going to, but he's out of town, and I don't know if I can be back for work."
"Well, you're already in the negative. I told you when you took those vacation days that you couldn't do any more except special circumstances."
"My best friend is in the hospital. I need tomorrow off."

No response. I might rush back tomorrow morning just so I can make it to work and throw this in his face some more. I imagine it will go something like "I'm taking time off for a funeral soon. I'll need a few days." and walking back out before he can tell me my best friend's cancer doesn't count asa a fucking special circumstance. What a dick.

in other news, my job hunt has met with no success. I'll be accepting suggestions and leads, preferably in St Louis, but right now I'm tempted to lax that rule. Boulder, anyone? I'd like to give my two weeks' notice by mid July, because Aug 1 they put me with the asshole again. I might put in my notice whether I have a lead or not.

work, gary
