OOC: CHARACTER PROFILE AND INFORMATION
CHARACTER NAME: Mega Man ∕ Rock
CHARACTER FANDOM: Mega Man (animated series)
CHARACTER PERSONALITY: Mega Man is a robot, first of all. He is also, at nonexistant heart, a truly good person. Mega despises cruelty, crime, and above all the misuse of technology (perhaps being that he is technology). If someone is in the middle of a wrong-doing, you can bet on Mega jumping right into the fray, laying some smack down and putting everything right again. Being designed as a teenager has given him the habit of being sarcastic as well, and he often makes fun of his opponents or tosses off cheesy one-liners. His relationships are usually straightforward; he likes Dr. Light, he likes Roll, he likes Rush, he doesn't like Dr. Wily - but when it comes to his 'brother' Proto, the bot just isn't so sure. While he desires a real sense of brotherhood with the red bot, he just can't bring himself to put any trust in Proto. The one time he did, it was all just a ruse. Still, Mega holds out hope deep in his circuits that one day Proto Man will be a name associated with good rather than evil.
CANONICAL HISTORY: The robot known as Rock was created by Dr. Thomas Light following the theft of several plans and a prototype by his fellow scientist, Dr. Albert Wily, alongside a female companion, a sister, named Roll. Originally designed as an assistant with his ability to mimic various tools, Rock and Roll were abducted by Wily, who attempted to reprogram them and almost succeeded if it hadn't been for a quickly invented ruse on Rock's part. When the pair returned to Dr. Light, they came to the conclusion that Wily was far too dangerous without someone to oppose him, and so Rock volunteered to be reconfigured into a combat model - Mega Man.
From that point on, Mega opposed Dr. Wily's schemes, fighting against the evil genius's new inventions and the completed prototype, renamed Proto Man, who considered himself Mega Man's 'brother', with the help of his sister and his robo-pooch Rush. He even met a version of himself from the future, Mega Man X, who had came back in time to apprehend the Maverick Repliroids Vile and Spark Mandrill. Through it all, Mega has stood strong in the fight for everlasting peace, his only true goal.
