Paris Party! (Saturday, but posted early by request)

Aug 03, 2012 19:09

Zacharias loved parties, especially when he was throwing them. Granted, that meant he wasn't going to be drinking nearly as much as he wanted, but someone had to make sure no one blew his house up. He'd delegated bartenders to Daphne, a fair bit of decorating to Mandy, and made Megan entertain him. He sort of felt bad asking them to do anything ( Read more... )

Mandy hadn't been having to much of an exciting evening. She had mostly been on the sidelines. She should have figured that the way it all started with the tension with Daphne that it wouldn't be a good night. She had been finishing a drink when she saw him. Drew arrived with Terry. As much as she wanted to go over and give Terry a hug hello she just couldn't, she couldn't be over by him. She had accepted the facts ( ... )

Drew was having a great time out with Parvati. She was a much better than he was though - even when was shit faced drunk. There were some things a man just couldn't do.

After a few songs he needed another drink. Leaving Parvati in her groove, he headed off in the direction of the bar again. The rum and coke had been one of the best he ever had. But then again, he heard that Daphne supplied the bartenders and she seemed to be very picky.

Just as he approached he felt somebody knock into him and he instinctively grapped at her waist to steady her.

"Hey, you okay?"

MAndy was thankful for the arms that caught her but then froze when she heard the voice that went to it. This was way to familiar and she just wasn't having it.

"Yeah I'm fine, thanks," She quickly stood upa dn pushed herself out of his grip and looked at him. Damn he still looked good even though she had just been watching u pall up on someone else.

"Hey Drew."

Drew couldn't believe his luck. He hadn't actually seen Mandy all night, wasn't sure if she was here. Then, out of nowhere, she literally fell into him.

"Hey, I didn't realize you were here," he said, feeling a little uneasy. He couldn't believe it had been so long since they spoke.

Mandy bit her lip, suddenly feeling very self-conscious about her outfit. She knew she sshould have just stuck with something shew as used to. She looked like a fake in this outfit.

She nodded trying to play it cool, "Can't say the same for you," she said pointing out on the dance floor from where he came from. "I got here early, helped Riah set up and stuff."

Drew suddenly realized she had seen him taking care of Parvati and dancing with her. It probably looked worse than it was since Vati was such a great dancer.

"Parvati? She was a total mess when I found her," he said, laughing a little in hopes of lightening the mood. Though, he knew it probably wouldn't help.

"Well, the place looks great."

Oh yes, it did look quite bad, but Mandy wasn't allowed to say anything. She had no claim over him whatsoever and he could do whatever he wanted and she couldn't say shit.

Mandy nodded and smiled, "Hey you don't have to explain yourself to me." But in her mind she was cussing him out like nobody's business.

When he complimented the decorations she shook her head, "Riah's place looked amazing before. I just did a few things he told me to do."

She ran a hand through her hair, "You look good."

"It must have been fun getting to explore this place when it wasn't so crowded," he said lightly, looking around. It was definitely bigger than any flat he'd ever been to.

"Thanks. You look great too," Drew said, noticing her outfit. It wasn't what he was used to seeing her in but it worked for her.

Mandy shook her head. Hoim and his love of buildings. But hey at least he had something to be passionate about. "You would love it. It's very cool."

She looked down at her outfit and nodded, "Thanks, I foudn it when I ran into Lavender at the mall."

She looked around, "I probably shouldn't keep you."

"Wicked. Lavender is always a good time," he said, grinning. She was one of those people that could always put a smile on her face. Being in the common room with her was always a type of adventure.

"Yeah...I should probably get back before Parvati manages to get another drink in her hands."

Mandy nodded at his mention of Parvati. She didn't want the other girl to get jealous even though Mandy already was. She needed to be better than that. "Right I wouldn't want your date to think you ran off. That's never a good thing," She said with a smile.

"It really was good seeing you again, and I'm sorry, about the other night."

Drew opened his mouth but he wasn't sure what to respond to first. It kind of left him a little speechless.

"Yeah, me too," he said finally, before grabbing his drink off the bar and another water bottle for Vati.

"But she's not my date. I only ran into her an hour or so ago. We're just dancing, Mandy."

"Oh," now Mandy was the one who was speechless. That was a revelation of sorts. She nodded and grabbed a drink and took a drink.

"Okay well you might want to make sure she's okay. See you Andrew," she gave him a little smile and kissed his cheek.

"See you later," he said casually, heading back onto the dance floor. He looked back at Mandy and smiled. At least they had been civil.
