Paris Party! (Saturday, but posted early by request)

Zacharias loved parties, especially when he was throwing them. Granted, that meant he wasn't going to be drinking nearly as much as he wanted, but someone had to make sure no one blew his house up. He'd delegated bartenders to Daphne, a fair bit of decorating to Mandy, and made Megan entertain him. He sort of felt bad asking them to do anything

Parvati's escape had been all thanks to Lavender's brother Alex. She'd snuck out without having to use floo, thanks to Alex's ability to apparate.

It hadn't been easy getting out quietly, but she left a note about being at Lavender's just in case they noticed her absence.

"I'm so glad I'm here," Parvati gushed, looking around the apartment. "Where are the boys?"

She turned to Lavender expectantly, assuming Lav knew where Roger at least was. And where Roger was, Eddie was sure to follow.

Lavender was more than thrilled that Parvati actually snuck out - and more thrilled that her brother Alex was there to help. He had been so nice to her since the news came out about the deaths at the Quidditch World Cup. Maybe because he realized how close his own sister came to being apart of those names.

"They probably went off to do shots somewhere..." she said, craning her neck to look for them. But there were already so many people there it was hard to see over the crowd. "Maybe the went to get us drinks...but that's wishful thinking."

Parvati couldn't see either of the boys, but when a tray of drinks went by she grabbed two glasses off of it and passed one to Lavender. "Cheers! To my night of freedom!"

After the clink, she took a generous sip, enjoying the bubbly feel as it went down.

"What is this?"

It must have been some sort of champagne. Riah had really gone all out.

Lavender didn't think twice and took a long sip of her drink. It tasted different from most drinks that she was used to.

"I think mine is a strawberry vodka soda," she said, noticing that it had a pink tint to it. Definitely fancier than most parties they went to. "It's delicious"

"Mine tastes like pineapples," she grinned, taking another long sip from her straw. "Where does Riah find all these things?" Vati gestured around, utterly amazed by the intensity of the party. Each one always managed to outdo the last.

"I have no idea...but I heard he had help from Daphne Greengrass on this one," she told her, clearly a little bit shocked by that fact. Though, Riah really never seemed to care about status or houses. It was more for the fact that Daphne would actually help him.

"Last year's party was...." she trailed off, doing her best to remember. A blush rose to her cheeks. There was very little Lavender remembered of that night besides Roger going off with some girl and Lavender ending up with Riah himself.

"Interesting," Ti finished for her, unsure how else to describe it. "Though this one does seem a bit more tasteful. Sounds about right from Greengrass, she's always got her nose so high."

Lavender instantly rolled her eyes. She didn't understand how anyone could be comfortable wearing high heels literally all the time. It had only been a few hours and Lavender was already in pain.

"Well, as long as this year ends better than last, I'll be happy," she said, giving Ti a knowing look. The thought of it made her crane her neck for Roger again.

"It will, I know it," Parvati replied, giving Lavender a side hug, before taking another sip. It was really easy to drink, which probably made it dangerous.

Soon enough, she was halfway done with her first.

"Yes, I know it will be!" she said, perking herself up. Lavender wasn't going to let those thoughts ruin her night. Especially when she had gone through all the trouble with her outfit.

Lavender sipped her drink slowly, thinking the same thing as Parvati. It was a dangerous drink.

"I wore that new lingerie set I told you about..."

Parvati's jaw dropped slightly, and she let out a giggle. "Ooh, expecting big things tonight?" She wiggled her eyebrows a little, nudging Lavender. Vati knew Lav had been frustrated as of late, so maybe this party would be the perfect thing for them.

"Well, I'm not sick anymore," she answered, jumping up and down in her heels a few times just to prove the point. It felt good to be well again.

"Maybe tonight will loosen him up enough to...I don't know, stop worrying about hurting me."

"If the lingerie doesn't work I don't know what will," she replied with vigor. "What color did you go for?" Parvati continued, now curious.

Where were those boys anyway? Something told her they were drunker than her, so she grabbed another drink off a floating tray. This one was blue.

"I went with black and red lace," she said, almost in a whisper. The idea brought a blush to Lavender's cheek. She felt more confident when she put it on. But she had a feeling that feeling would be washed away later when Roger was....well...

She shook the thought from her head, not getting too ahead of herself.

"Gryffindor pride!" P laughed, winking at Lavender. "Bring a little fire into that Ravenclaw's life!"

"Do you see what Parkinson is wearing?!" Vati exclaimed, glancing over at Pansy's super short green dress.

"I figured it was appropriate!" she laughed before taking a longer sip of her drink. It was absolutely delicious...whatever it was.

Then Lavender glanced behind her at the two Slytherin girls and rolled her eyes.

"Both of them...jeez. Makes us look like nuns."
