excitement
i should've gone up to ben's this past weekend, but i decided to spend time with mom and bob. it was fun, but i'm missing ben a ton. my weekend consisted of a pool party with women twice my age getting drunk (i didn't touch a drink) then another party at mom's friend's from work. drunkenness occurred (mom and bob only had a few beers) and then i drove us to hooters. i got to talk to ben a lil' on the phone, which was good. sunday was spent sleeping in, then going to the flea market with mom and bob. we came home with two baby turtles (bob's), a hair tie with hair on it, like a wig (mom's - it makes her look like she has longer hair, and it matches perfectly), and a lil' something for ben from mom. i think he'll like it. then, sunday night, i had a blast! i went with dad and sophia to Blue Man Group. it's my second time seeing them, as i saw them in chicago a few years ago. but, man, were they awesome. they had two opening acts - tracy bonham and venus hum - because they wanted it to be dark outside (we were at riverbend). then they came on. it was just so much fun. their new music is great, and it all centered around "rock concert." like... "rock concert movement number one: the head bob." by the end of the concert everyone was jumping around and having fun. i'm glad i got to go.
work is going well, i guess i can say. i'm still learning some stuff, but i'm doing alright. i have fun most of the time, except when it's just me and all 8 lines are ringing and there are four people standing at the front desk waiting to be helped. that was fun yesterday. all i have to do is work today and two more days and then it's off to chicago!
i can't wait... it's going to be tons of fun. i was trying to figure out the best part... will it be the hotels, the Lion King, the shopping? and what i came up with: being with ben. just ben. no family, no friends. just us. happy. romantic. *insert "awwwwwwww" here* my first trip to anywhere without any family or other friends around. i wish it was friday NOW.
oh, and i just have to say this: it's so nice to have a breakfast of fresh strawberries, fresh pineapple, and fresh black cherries. yum. made my day, and i've still to go to work. let's hope it keeps my spirits up.
Anyway... that's all for now. I might be back before chicago to type some more, but don't count on it. Oh, and congrats go out to meg and clay ;-)
